As the Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Global Air Drones (GAD), Muhammad Faheem Abbasi brings over 24 years of global leadership in high-stakes exploration, technology integration, and operational management. With a career spanning Norway, Russia, the Middle East, and the Americas, Faheem is the driving force behind GAD's operational strategy, ensuring the company delivers world-class UAV solutions with the precision and safety standards of a major energy corporation—all while maintaining his parallel role as COO at Buraq GeoServices, bringing combined strength to both organizations.
Before his focus on drone operations, Faheem spent over a decade with Equinor ASA as a Lead Geophysicist and Center Manager, where he supervised the entire exploration value chain—from seismic acquisition and processing to well drilling. He managed multi-million dollar projects, led in-house seismic processing centers, and spearheaded unconventional exploration programs.
In his concurrent leadership positions, Faheem uniquely bridges the gap between specialized UAV service development and strategic operational growth: At Buraq GeoServices Faheem has been instrumental in transitioning traditional geophysical expertise into the modern era of unmanned aerial vehicles. He leads and manages all field operations for aerial mapping and industrial inspections, successfully delivering complex projects that integrate: Airborne LiDAR and Magnetometer surveys - Photogrammetry and Digital Twins – Advance CVI and Thermal Inspections – Digitalization.
